GWEN PERRY & MICHEL FABER TRIO | Friday's Blues
Gwen Perry, an American singer of jazz, rhythm & blues, swing or even ballads, has dedicated his whole life to music, performing concerts around the world.
Known as the “great lady of music and song”, Gwen has performed before a varied audience such as heads of state, diplomatic bodies, politicians, royal families, nobles and people of all cultural and social levels.
In March 2012, Gwen was awarded by the AEFE Foundation with the European Gold Cross of Distinction in the category of international singer, humanitarian and producer. In its most humanitarian aspect, it has acted and collaborated with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation against polio, with Amnesty International, UNICEF, Sub-Saharan Children, Pasqual Maragall Foundation against Alzheimer's or the Hospital de Mataró Foundation.
His artistic style is based on swing and classical jazz, but also with influences of blues and gospel. Its warm and deep tone approaches the great African-American jazz singers of the 50s without losing their own personality. His perfect diction and his natural phrase never sound forced and, without fear of mistake, it can be said that Gwen Perry possesses very difficult vocal qualities to find in the current panorama of African American music.Rhythm & blues, jazz & swing with: GWEN PERRY & MICHEL FABER TRIO
