Temporary exhibition

The European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) presents from May 31 an exhibition with the finalist works of the VI Edition of the Contest ModPortrait 2018, the first international contest of figurative painting dedicated exclusively to the portrait. The exhibition brings together the best realistic art from the hand of more than 50 works selected by the jury, which will be exhibited at the first floor of the European Museum of Modern Art until July 28.

In this year's edition, the first prize has been awarded to the work Dusk of Guyu 'by the Chinese painter Chuanxing Zeng, known for his portraits of women of ethnic minorities who express a delicate melancholy. The mentions of honor have awarded the works 'Dos au Mur' by Lihard David, 'Nothing' by Raoof Haghighi, 'María Far' by the Spanish artist Ivan Franco, the work 'Unkown Dream' by Xu Zhang, 'Años falsos' by Felipe Alonso and 'Woman in a nightgown' by Marcos Rey.
